got some road time coming this week. heading out to see our forest county potawatomi brothers. they are having a get together about a dictionary they are putting together. a few of us from our language program are heading up there to attend. that should be educational. i have to admit i am rusty at the language since i have been out of it a few years. a little of it comes back to me now and then. i am studying more now. i dont have any doubt that i will learn more. that will take time. it wont happen overnight.

we had a fund raiser breakfast last friday. there was a good turn out. i got to visit with many that showed up to support our language program. we had people from various tribal departments. we must have done good because we sold out of what we had. we had to leave around nine because we had a poly-com class. so that worked out good.

i will get back from the road trip in time to go see k u play their basketball game against baylor. the only other game i seen this year was the first exhibition game.  i bought those tickets a month or so ago. i wanted to wait til the team jelled and would be playing a good team. i know this will be a good game. baylor is ranked 5th. we are 15th but will go up after we smoke them.  anytime i go to the field house it is worth it. i wont be in the rafters. i paid $80 for a ticket to this game. i see that general admission tickets are now going for 50 bucks. i remember when i used to get them for 20 bucks. those days are gone. last year i went to 6 games. at these prices i wont go to that many this year.

i went to a movie for the first time in a long time. i went to see the american version of the girl with the dragon tattoo. i seen the swedish versions of all 3 of the books. i only read the first book. i bought the second book but havent read it. i cant find the third book in paperback. i see it in hard cover but will wait til it comes out in paperback. now i will have to see the american version of the other two movies. guess i can do something on weekends besides hit the casinos.

i have 30 ounces of porky hair coming. the first pound and a half of hair looks good. i will be busy the rest of the winter now with studying language and making roaches. that and keep the fire going this winter. it will get cold sooner or later. it has been unseasonably warm so far. every since al gore talked about global warming. maybe he is to blame for this weather.
